Standard PEP® training

A training that helps to improve the personal efficiency. This is achieved by practical advice and personal support that are applicable immediately in your work.
Target group: Anyone who needs more time, has too much to do and wants to improve his / her work. Any person who receives a lot of email and works in a group or team work. PEP® is basically suitable for anyone who receives a large amount of information. Also for individuals and departments with high workload, time constraints and who must determine their own priorities. The training is especially suitable to support:
- reorganization and relocation
- insight into inefficiency of workflows and bottlenecks
- groups from different backgrounds that must work together after a reorganization
- Introduction of FLEX workspaces
Objective: A change in work behavior by improving work habits which will result in better structured information (paper and electronic), better setting priorities, keeping agreements, better planning and making faster decisions. Good overview of the workload and improving the internal and external cooperation and reducing stress.
Contents: Typical for PEP® is its simplicity and practical approach. A large part is done at the workplace. There are 2 group sessions and 4 individual visits at the workplace. The program extends over a period of 3 to 5 months to achieve a long-term result. The time investment by the participant is approximately 14 hours. The participant will also need to spend a few hours on some assignments. If necessary we will also maintain contact by phone or email with the participant. The following topics will be dealt with:
- work habits and work organization
- decision-making and concentration
- fast handling of incoming mail
- practical and manageable archiving
- planning and setting priorities
- pro-active calendar
Organisation: Step 1: group session with an introduction of the PEP® principles workhabits and worksystem and setting personal objectives. Topics include procrastinational behavior, management of email and other information and cleandesk and the (electronic) archives.
Step 2: group session with an introduction of the PEP® principle workplanning. Topics include time management, short-term versus long-term planning, pro-active calendar management and efficient use of electronic programs such as Outlook, GroupWise and Lotus Notes.
Step 3 and 4: Individual workplace visits of approximately one hour. Topics include archiving, electronic mail and information processing, task analysis, preparation and enforcing planning, clear communication, dealing with interruptions and developing a pro-active attitude. Evaluation of how far the participant has advanced with achieving his / her objectives. Exchanging of constructive ideas. The coach gives support where it is necessary for the participant to achieve the desired changes.
