This training is designed for employees in a flexible workplace with limited archive.

Target group: Managers and their staff who want to be effective from day one at their flexplace.

Objective: To reduce dependence on paper by making better use of the computer for archiving and planning. The creation of new work systems and to reduce delays during the transition.

Content: The main part of the program takes part at the workplace. There are 2 group sessions and 4 individual visits at the workplace. Step 1 and 2 of the program takes place in the former work environment and steps 3 and 4 in the new work situation stretching over a period of 4 to 5 months to sustain a long-term result. The time investment per participant is approximately 14 hours.

In addition, we maintain, if necessary contact, by phone or email with the participant. The following topics are covered: the use of computer and electronic calendar, an accessible archive, use of communication and concentration areas, procedures on mail handling, time management and planning.

Organization: Step 1: Group session with an introduction of the PEP® principles workhabits and worksystem and setting personal goals. Topics include reducing procrastination behavior, management of e-mail and other information, cleandesk and the (electronic) archives.

Step 2: Individual workplace visits of about an hour. Topics include archiving and electronic mail.

Step 3: Group session with an introduction of the PEP® principles to workplanning. Topics include task and time management, short term versus long-term planning, pro-active calendar management and efficient use of electronic tools such as Outlook, GroupWise and Lotus Notes. And again individual coaching in the workplace is applied.

Step 4: Individual workplace visits of about an hour. Topics include information processing, task analysis, drafting and enforcing a workplanning, communicate clearly, dealing with interruptions and developing a pro-active attitude. Monitoring how much the participant has achieved the objectives. How much progress has been made to solve the problems. Work routines may be adapted and minor changes made. Exchange of constructive ideas.
