PEP® training for an efficient relocation

This training is a good preparation for a (internal or external) move. It will insure a rapid and well-organized start in the new workplace.

Target group: Managers and their staff who want to minimize the hassle and enjoy the benefits of the move. They want to seize the opportunity to improve poor workhabits.

Objective: Reduce the amount of paper drastically in the old environment. Create new work systems in a minimum of time and optimal use of the new working conditions.

Contents: Moving offers an excellent opportunity to change workhabits. There are 2 group sessions and 4 individual visits to the workplace. The time investment per participant is approximately 14 hours. In addition, a few hours will be spend on assignments. If necessary we also maintain contact by phone or email with the participant.

The following topics are covered: Good use of the computer and the electronic calendar, creating an accessible archive, use of digital archives, shared files, email management. Also the use of the calendar and workplanning.

Organisation: Step 1: group session with an introduction of the PEP® principles workhabits and worksystem and setting personal goals. Topics include reducing procastinational behavior, management of e-mail and other information and cleandesk and the (electronic) archives.

Step 2: Individual workplace visits of about an hour. Topics include archiving, electronic mail and management of documents.

Step 3: The possibility for a group session with an introduction of the PEP®principles to workplanning. Topics include time management, short term versus long-term planning, pro-active calendar use and efficient use of electronic tools such as Outlook, GroupWise and Lotus Notes. Again, individual visits in the workplace.

Step 4: Individual workplace visits of about an hour. Topics include information processing, task analysis, creating and enforcing a workplanning, communicate clearly, dealing with interruptions and develop a pro-active attitude. Evaluate if the participant has made progress in achieving the objectives.
